We are grateful to all of our birth mothers for their courageous decision to place a child for adoption. Here are some stories about those who decided to place a child for adoption and what that decision has meant to them as well as those who were adopted through CHS.
A proud mother from afar
Although she has never met or spoken to the daughter she placed for adoption more than 18 years
ago, Kristin relishes the small things she learns from the letters and communication she receives

Amy was only 17 when she became pregnant. Her mom wanted her to place the baby for adoption, but
a CHS counselor helped Amy make her own decision.

A couple’s agonizing decision
Cecily and her husband hadn’t planned on getting pregnant but knew they didn’t want any
children. Talking to an adoptions counselor at CHS helped them realize adoption was the answer
for their baby.
